And then after the surgery. This guy.. thumbs up indeed! I didn't look this good after my surgery, believe me.

In July 2008 I began peritoneal dialysis; for this, I had a permanent catheter placed in my abdomen and began a process of home dialysis which took 9+ hours per night. In August an article about me was printed in a small paper from a region of the UK I lived in while growing up. 3 days later, I had an email from someone I didn't know, saying wanted to give me a kidney. He sounded serious - and he was the right blood type.
